Hi,
since the mail from Jose covered some problems of est assembly I also have some
questions: My strategy is to first blast and cluster ests and then to assemble
the cluster with mira. But when I use blat to map the remaining singlets (those
that ae not assembled) against the contigs I clearly see good introns ...
Can mira handle introns ? So for example if two parts of a read match well to a
contig but are separated by a gap of more then 100 bps would mira handle this ?
Otherwise I would have to split the reads that matched with introns and
reassemble (assembly with backbone?) ...
best regards,
Andreas
