Web Shortcuts
Do you have a web site you visit often?
Wouldn't it be cool to have a shortcut on your desktop for it?
Here's a quick way to do it:

First, head to the web page with either Explorer or Netscape.

~ With Internet Explorer:

You'll see next to the site's URL (address) a small icon with a blue "e" on
it.
Drag that to your desktop. Instant shortcut!

~ With Netscape:

Next to the URL (address) box, you'll see the word "location."
Next to "location" there's a small icon.
If you drag it onto your desktop, you'll make an instant shortcut to the
page.

Now, everyone, when you click on the shortcut(s), it will open your default
browser and take you to the web site.

How to Find Information ~ Mike's Friday Tip

Offten while looking through a document or web page of text I see something
interesting and need to try to get back where I was.

I found that I can use the Windows "Find"  to find where I was;
Click and hold the "Ctrl" key and the "F" letter key
This brings up the "Dialogue box"
Type in the word or phrase you recall and let the computer find it for you.

Game of Life
http://www.bitstorm.org/gameoflife/
The Game of Life is not your typical computer game. It is a 'cellular
automaton', and was invented by Cambridge mathematician John Conway.

This game became widely known when it was mentioned in an article published
by Scientific American in 1970. It consists of a collection of cells which,
based on a few mathematical rules, can live, die or multiply. Depending on
the initial conditions, the cells form various patterns throughout the
course of the game. More information about The Game of Life is available in
Wikipedia.

Antivirus software is a good choice to scan your system for possible viruses,
however no virus scanner is 100% effective as manufactures cannot keep up with
the rapid change of viruses that happens daily.
Be sure to update yours regularly.
