This is JOHN WILSON'S specialist FROM THE KEYBOARD TUTORIALS FOR VISUALLY
IMPAIRED PEOPLE WEBSITE
http://web.onetel.net.uk/~fromthekeyboard/
To contact me, please e-mail me; jwjw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

or phone me on:

0113 2575957 (from the UK)

01144 113 2575957 (from the US and Canada)

You will also find these contact details near the bottom of this page.

This Website has been created with the needs of the blind or visually
impaired Web surfer in mind. It therefore has no images or graphics because
these may only confuse some screenreaders and speech systems. An attempt has
been made to make the site as accessible to blind people as possible, so all
links have been placed on separate lines so that they can easily be found
and activated by pressing the ENTER key on them. The larger than average
text and the foreground and background colours will, hopefully, help those
with partial sight to be able to see these pages more easily.

TagCheck
http://www.angelfire.com/biz/rhaminisys/tagcheck.html
Freeware

HTML and XML tags must be properly nested or they get cold. On those dark
and stormy nights when you stay up 'til four in the
morning trying to get tomorrow's issue out, you might forget to close a tag
or two... or fifteen. Don't fret, just open your
document with TagCheck and it'll holler if you've left tags exposed.
You can even modify this program to ignore items that don't require closing
tags. Batch checking is also allowed, and it will even
correct any mistakes you might have made.

Don't Give Up
There are times that you click a link and the page doesn't open.
Don't give up too soon. We find that trying a link immediately after it
fails often brings up the page. Even if you can't access a page immediately,
you may be able to reach it later.

Don't assume that a page is down. It may be simply a case of an overworked
web server, or the site is temporarily down for
maintenance. And sometimes the web is just too slow. When you try again, you
may get a better route to the site.

Antivirus software is a good choice to scan your system for possible viruses,
however no virus scanner is 100% effective as manufactures cannot keep up with
the rapid change of viruses that happens daily.
Be sure to update yours regularly.
