Windows Media Player 9 Goes Gold
http://www.winxpnews.com/rd/rd.cfm?id=030114SE-WiMP9
"Going Gold" is computer industry jargon meaning that the final version is
released. The final version of Windows Media Player (WiMP) 9 is now
available. WiMP includes all the digital lockdown features (digital rights
management) that you've been asking Microsoft for (haven't you been asking
them for it?). The jury is still out on whether WiMP 9 can lock you out of
your MP3s and other music files, but they promise you can uninstall it and
go back to your previous version by using System Restore. Make sure you
create a System Restore Point before you install WiMP 9. Download it at:

Fdisk Does Not Recognize Full Size of Hard Disks Larger than 64 GB
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;263044&;
The information in this article applies to:
Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
Microsoft Windows 98
Microsoft Windows 95
SYMPTOMS
When you use Fdisk.exe to partition a hard disk that is larger than 64 GB
(64 gigabytes, or 68,719,476,736 bytes) in size, Fdisk does not report the
correct size of the hard disk.

The size that Fdisk reports is the full size of the hard disk minus 64 GB.
For example, if the physical drive is 70.3 GB (75,484,122,112 bytes) in
size, Fdisk reports the drive as being 6.3 GB (6,764,579,840 bytes) in size.

Personal Finances 2000
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/1,fid,8053,00.asp
Freeware

Manage up to five checking and savings accounts with this free
program. The interface of this program looks a little dated (the
icons look like they came from a cheap clip art collection), but
the program is both powerful and accurate -- and, of course, it's
free. Personal Finances 2000 works much in the same way as a
spreadsheet program does, letting you add, modify, and remove
entries. You can also do more-sophisticated manipulations,
including configuring the program to remember recurring events,
such as monthly rent or utility bills. As you enter recurring
entries, the program uses the data to forecast your future
financial situation. In addition, you'll find a
spreadsheet-style, one-year forecast that you can use as a
budget. The program
lets you generate reports and graphs, as well as import files
from other financial software.

NotePad Word Wrap
Notepad's natural setting does not wrap words
-- that is, it just runs the words of a file off to the right.
If you choose Edit, Word Wrap -- turning the Word Wrap feature on
-- you can see how the words that would have extended beyond the
edge of the window on the right instead fall back and start a new
line on the left

Welcome to Delltalk TWEEKZ
http://www2.whidbey.com/djdenham/Tweekz.htm
This collection of small, easy-to-use utilities has been assembled from
numerous sources on the Internet. Rather than providing links to the
original sources, these are gathered together in one place to make it as
easy as possible to access them. There are a couple of exceptions--programs
which by their size do not lend themselves to inclusion here, and for those,
links to the source are provided.

Each of these little programs is designed to fix a small problem easily and
quickly. They are, by design, "one-trick ponies" but can often perform
tasks in one click which would otherwise require a great deal of effort.
Look at the list below to see if there is something in this collection which
could be of service to you.

If you find one that is appealing, click on its name and you will be taken
to a page with the program's name, a description of its purpose, and brief
instructions on its use. You will be able to download the program from that
page.

Antivirus software is a good choice to scan your system for possible viruses,
however no virus scanner is 100% effective as manufactures cannot keep up with
the rapid change of viruses that happens daily.
Be sure to update yours regularly.
