"If you have to register and unregister as many controls a day as we do, you
need RegDrop.
RegDrop is our easy to use component registration utility that allows you to
simply drag and drop a component or components on it and RegDrop will
register or unregister the component(s) for you.
RegDrop gives real error messages as opposed to cryptic numeric result
codes.
For users of Microsoft's Visual Studio, you can even replace REGSVR32 in the
"Register Control" tool menu with RegDrop.
Now you can not only register but also easily unregister components by
holding down the shift key while selecting this menu item - saving many
needless trips to Explorer or worse, DOS.
RegDrop is included with Reveal and you can download a free copy of RegDrop
now!"

Microsoft Unveils New Windows System by Peter Svensson
http://www.computeruser.com/news/02/11/08/news2.html
Microsoft Corp. gave pen-based computing another shot, introducing a new
version of its Windows operating system that it hopes will entice people to
use notepad-like tablet computers.
Frankly admitting that the concept had failed many times before, chairman
Bill Gates called it "a dream that I and others have had for years and
years."
In introducing Windows for XP Tablet PC Edition to business partners and
media at a Broadway theater, Gates mentioned some of the previous attempts
at creating a viable tablet computer.
In the early '90s, there was the GRiDPAD, Go's tablet, and the Apple Newton,
none of which lasted more than a few years. Microsoft itself had a Windows
for Pen project.
"It's almost painful to recall what the results of those projects were,"
Gates said.
Microsoft decided to keep working on the concept. Advances on the hardware
side -- longer battery life, faster processors and wireless networking --
mean the time is now ripe for pen-based PCs, Gates said.
Getting computers to recognize handwriting properly has been a difficult
problem for manufacturers, and the legendarily poor accuracy of the Newton
spelled its demise.

NaughtyMouse
http://www.tucows.com/system/preview/237356.html
freeware
This small utility provides a way to automate mouse-related
tasks. Using the wizard you can quickly create a script to
control mouse moves and clicks.
A script can contain any number of actions and each action can
have random time intervals with a casual radius of deviation to
simulate a human being operating your mouse.
Use this program to simulate Web browsing, click sponsor
cash-bars, and emulate user activity to prevent your computer
from going to sleep.
~~~~~~~
Old Control Panel Items
The items that show up in the Control Panel have a file extension
of CPL. You can find these in the c:\winnt\system32 (WinNT/2K/XP)
or c:\windows\system folder.
Occasionally you'll end up with an icon in the Control Panel that
you don't want, either because you don't have the program
installed anymore or you just don't want someone going in and
making any changes. To remove the icon from the Control Panel, do
a search for all files in the folders mentioned above that end in
CPL and move them someplace else. When you open the Control
Panel, you shouldn't see those icons. If you've accidentally
moved the wrong CPL file, then move it back. If you moved the
right CPL file, and
you're sure that you don't need it anymore, then feel free to
delete it from where you moved it.
Antivirus software is a good choice to scan your system for possible viruses,
however no virus scanner is 100% effective as manufactures cannot keep up with
the rapid change of viruses that happens daily.
