Wolfenstein 5K
http://www.innofinity.com/5k/2002/
Wolfenstein 5K is a texture-mapped first-person shooter written
in Javascript. It was written for the 5K contest, which challenges
entrants to create a web page in under 5120 bytes. According
to its creators, "The idea behind the contest is that the rigid
constraints of designing for the web are what force us to get
truly creative."
For me, this contest was perfect respite from the complex,
database-driven sites that I routinely develop through my
company, Innofinity. The goal for my entry was to make the
game not only small, but fun and playable.
Browser Requirements
The game has been tested successfully on IE5 and IE6 for
Windows, and Netscape 4.77 on the Mac.
While the game runs in Netscape 4.08 and 4.75 for the PC,
the animation is not smooth, with long pauses making the
game unplayable.
IE for Mac and Mozilla do not have the capability of rendering
XBM images, a feature on which this game depends, so there?s
no way to make the game run on these browsers. Perhaps the
developers of Mozilla will consider adding this feature to a
future
release of their fine browser.

Registry Security Tip for Windows 9x\2000\XP
Disable Regwizc.dll by ~ Vic
Windows includes a registry wizard control tool that allows
hackers to hack your registry.
A very common hack is changing a users home page.
By disabling this file, you can prevent these types of registry
invasions.
Here's how to unregister it:
Click Start>Run, enter this command
regsvr32 /u regwizc.dll
and click Ok. A message box should pop up, stating
that regwizc.dll was successfully unregistered.
If you ever need to re-register it for installing some known safe
program, enter this in the Run box:
regsvr32 regwizc.dll

My Old Safe
http://megabrands.com/alice/indexx.html
This software from Sundance Software Technologies offers
the user a quick and easy way to secure computer files from
prying eyes. Whether it happens to be a private spreadsheet,
a resume, photograph, or any other file you don't want to be
available to others on your P.C.
"My Old Safe" offers a reasonably high level of security for most
computer users.
Using My Old Safe is as simple as locating the file name in
the right side window, dragging it onto the safe and dropping
it in. You will be prompted for a password, and verification,
and your file will be encrypted and compressed.
Opening file simply requires reversing the process.

Desktop Architect v2.11
http://www.themedoctor.com/da.shtml
Win 9X/ME/2000
The best of the best little desktop theme tools all wrapped
up into one great program.
Other than the fact that it's FREE, the outstanding features
are just too numerous to list every one here.
After extensively testing Desktop Architect's nearly limitless
features in comparison with Microsoft Plus!, here are just a
few of the remarkable options you'll have with this
updated version.
1/ For compatibility issues, Desktop Architect can be set
as a stand alone application for use with other theme
managers like Microsoft Plus! or Desktop Themes.
2/ Turn on/off WebView images and Startup/Wait/Shutdown
logos.
3/ Change active screensavers or wallpaper images from a
menu.
4/ Choose or alter color settings from a list and even flatten
or raise 3D Objects.
5/ Add/remove sounds with preview options and easily
check file details.
6/ Change desktop icons or restore defaults.
7/ Change cursors or restore defaults.
8/ Preview animated or static logo screens before you install
them or reset your default logo images.
9/ Preview WebView images or reset default WebView settings.
10/ Add or remove Desktop Architect to your system tray on
startup for easy access.
11/ Make the color around desktop icon text transparent.
12/ Randomize all themes or only the themes you like best
at any time interval.
13/ Webmasters will enjoy the ability to save thumbnail
previews and even toggle options to catch the active
icon, cursor, wallpaper, and color settings in the preview
window.

P.D. Game free
http://gamehippo.com/category/new_title_4.shtml
"I am standing in front of a hotel, where I am supposed to meet
Christine..." This is how the game begins. You are a loony private
eye on a conspicuous mission. You have just arrived to a hotel
where you suspect that she has checked in. This a wonderfully
animated point-and-click cartoon game with awesome drawings. Let
me emphasize that again: AWESSOME! You may recognize the style
from the author's first game called Ignac. Sadly, I cannot give
this game a high rating with the sole reason that the game is way
too short (with a longer story and this game would deserve an top
rating). It took me just a few minutes to solve the mystery.
However, keep in mind that the author intentionally made this game
short and he rather calls it a demo.
Nontheless, I think it's worth to download for a short moment of
fun.

Tina's FrontPage Tips, by Tina Clarke
To Show or Hide?
When you click on the tab on the right end of
any of the toolbars, a pop-up option labelled
'Add or Remove buttons; will appear. A further
pop-up menu becomes visible if you click on the
option, with all the buttons that are available for
this toolbar. Using this, you can enable or
disable any of the functions that you do or don't
regularly use, thus saving space on your
toolbars.
At the bottom of each menu is a small chevron
icon. Click on this to expand the menu to
access all the rest of the lesser-used features in
FrontPage. If however, you'd like to see all of the
functions all of the time, click on 'Custmise' in
the 'Tool' menu, and in the dialog box uncheck
the box labelled 'Menus show recently used
commands first'.

Registry Explorer
http://www.regxplor.com/
Freeware
Registry Explorer is a RegEdit replacement which places a
Registry icon on the desktop so that the Registry can be browsed
with Windows Explorer. It features: total integration in Windows
Explorer; drag 'n
drop; copy & paste; multiple selection for export to file; create
shortcuts to registry keys; and add registry keys to your
favorites. This program is only for experienced users because it
places the power of RegEdit within Windows explorer, making it
very accessible to anyone who wants to experiment. By
right-clicking on a Registry key you can Delete, Rename, Copy,
Edit & Export that key.
If you don't know what you are doing with the Registry then you
should leave it alone, completely! If you are a more experienced
user you will appreciate the ability to be able to create
Registry key shortcuts and carry out other Explorer-type
functions within the registry.

Direct to the Windows folder
If you're the type of user who regularly tinkers in the Windows
folder, you know what a pain it is navigating to the Windows
folder via the mouse. Well, using the Run dialog box, there's a
lightning-fast way to open the Windows folder. Go to Start, Run
(or Winkey+R). Type
..
(that's two periods) in the Open box and click OK. The Windows
folder pops open for you instantly.
