Internet Connection Sharing in XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q314066
This article describes how to share one Internet connection on
your home network or your small-office network.

MORE INFORMATION
Through the Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) feature for network
and dial-up connections, you can use Windows XP to connect your
home network or your small-office network to the Internet. For
example, you may have a home network in which a Windows XP-based
computer connects to the Internet by using a dial-up connection.
If you enable ICS on the computer that uses the dial-up
connection, you can provide network address translation,
addressing, and name resolution services for all of the computers
on your network.
++ There is more on the web site.

DX-Ball 2 free
http://www.longbowdigitalarts.com/dxball2.html
If you haven't played a breakout-style game before, the idea is
simple: Use the mouse to move a paddle back and forth along
the bottom of the screen, while bouncing a ball to break through
a pattern of bricks above. DX-Ball 2 adds explosive bricks and
random power-ups, including laser weapons, multiple balls,
explosive Fire Balls, through-balls, large sized balls, tiny
balls,
big and small paddles, slow balls, two-way and eight-way split
balls, ball catch, and more.

You can download DX-Ball 2 right now.
The game itself is free, and comes with 24 boards to blast your
way through. Simply download the self-installing executable to
your computer, then double-click on it to install the game
wherever you prefer. Also drop by our new DX-Ball 2 Discussion
Forum to chat with us and other players of the game!

System Requirements: DX-Ball 2 should work on any
Win95/98/2000/NT 4.0 machine with Microsoft's DirectX
installed (included with Win95 OSR2, Win98, and NT
Service Pack 3 or 4), a video card capable of High-Color
(65535 color) graphics, a Pentium 100 or better processor,
and 16 or more megabytes of RAM.

Shutdown ~ free
http://www.regxplor.com/other.html
Shutdown is a command line tool that lets you reboot, log off or
shut down your computer.
You can use it in batch files and shortcuts.
It can also reboot your computer in emergency cases.

This program works very much like some standard shutdown
programs, but it works on all windows versions and has more
extended options.

Cool your CPU and let it live longer with RAIN 1.0.1
http://monsternet.game-point.net/goodies/rain.html
To celebrate the 10,000-hits to MonsterNet, a special version of
Rain is available for you!
This version has a fool-proof installer. Of course, credit must
still go to Leading Wintech for such a great software.

What exactly does Rain do?
Well, to put it simply, it tells your CPU to cool down when it is
not working, particularly useful for office and school computers,
which I know are left on throughout the day. What's more, its
free!

Rain is recommended for users of Windows 95, 98 and ME and is not
required if you are running Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP
and above.

TopFive.com

http://www.topfive.com/

The site is made up of lists (and they usually number more than
five) of observations, some of which are tied into some sort of
recent event ("Top 12 Souvenirs President Bush Brought Back from
Europe" is an example), while others are not ("Top 14 Things
You'd Never Hear Your Mother Say"). There's a new list every day
and the archives are accessible for your perusal. Fun stuff.

Be advised: You may be offended by some of the R- and X-rated
(per TopFive's own rating system) lists, as well as the political
and religious jabs. But overall, the content is no more offensive
than other humor sites and much funnier than most.

Graphics in More or Less detail

Want to display your graphics in more or less detail? The number
of colors that Windows can use to display images on your screen
is determined by your color palette setting.

To change this setting, right-click a blank area of the desktop,
select Properties, and click the Settings tab. Click the down
arrow next to Color, and choose from the available palettes.
(Note: Your choices may vary depending on your system's graphics
capabilities.) Click OK, then click Yes to restart Windows if
prompted.

Not sure which palette to choose? In our next tip, we'll tell you
the differences among them and make some suggestions as to which
setting might be right for you.
