defaults to use one server but can be altered to check a variety of 
servers. Select Kaspersky updater, select update via the internet to 
open the drop down box(es) select "location"  Check the box labeled 
"Use alternate locations from the list"  select next and next to update.  
This option should stay selected after the first time.  This helps 
Kaspersky lighten the load for updates and helps you obtain updates 
easier.

Kill Ads - Not Popups, just ads, with NO external software!
This trick utilizes something cool in Windows and, yes, Even LINUX!
Ok, first lets say this can block ANY web site! ANY web site!
This is a very simple trick, and is rated for Intermediate users.

1) Browse to your "HOSTS" file. This file has no extension.
In Windows Me this is in c:\windows\ 
In Windows 2000/XP this is in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
If Not, try searching for HOSTS.

2) Open this in NOTEPAD. Right click and select OPEN WITH.

3) In there you see a comment, and an ip address with the word 
localhost next to it. 
Those of you versed in linux know this trick very well.
Its not really a trick, actually.
It's been known in linux for awhile now. How do you use it?
4) Add a line like this:
127.0.0.1 www.website.com
This will block www.website.com from being accessed. :)
Now, we provided a host file for you. 
Rename it to just HOSTS and put it in the directory where 
the HOSTS file is.

Getting rid of a background in Themes

If you dislike the background in the theme of your choice
you don't have to remake the whole theme, just get rid of
the background instead.

1. Right-click anywhere on your page and choose Theme from
the pop-up menu that appears.

2. In the Choose Theme dialog box, uncheck the Background
Image box. You get a preview of what your page looks like
without the background pattern.

3. If you like what you see, click OK. If you don't like
what you see, you can always click the Background Image
again.
TIP 25: Alt Text Change
1. Right-click the image and choose Image Properties. The
=91Image Properties=92 dialog box appears, (In FrontPage 2000
with the name and size of the image file appearing in the
Text box (in the Alternative Representations section).

2. Insert your descriptive text into the Text Box.
3. Click OK.

Uninstaller
Most new software packages come with programs 
to uninstall the software. 
Before using the "Add and Remove" option in Windows, check 
to see if an uninstall program exists either in the software's 
created directory or on the installation disk. 
The uninstall software generally does a better job at
removal than the Windows Add/Remove option.

Find The Lost Tile Bar  ~ by Mike

Have you ever had the problem that whenever you open a web 
page you cannot reach the 'Tile Bar', or the [X] to close the 
window?

You can use a keyboard shortcut to get it back.


Press  the 'Alt' key then the space bar and the letter 'M'. 

Your cursor should turn into a four way arrow.
Use the 4 arrow keys that you normally use to scroll up, down, 
left and right. 
When you get the window to a point where you can reach the 
resize button in 'Title bar' click 'Enter'

Then click on the reduce the window size button, it is between 
the [-] and the [+] buttons.

You can then resize the window any size you wish by clicking on 
the bottom right corner of the screen and dragging it to the size
You wish.
