The Greatest 533MHz Show on Earth by Vince Freeman
Intel Keeps Up the Pentium 4 Pressure
http://www.hardwarecentral.com/hardwarecentral/reports/4195/1/

Fri 5/10/02 -- Like a magician pulling not one but many rabbits out
of his hat, Intel continues to amaze the public with its new product
showcase. This week's announcement of the 2.53, 2.4B, and 2.26GHz
Pentium 4 processors and i850E chipset punctuated what has been a
very impressive 2002 for Intel, starting with the P4 Northwood
(which many call the "real" Pentium 4), followed by unprecedented
2.4GHz and 2.53GHz clock speeds, and now capped with a boost from
400MHz to 533MHz of front-side bus speed and corresponding increase
in system bandwidth.

Lissa Explains it all: HTML Help for Kids
http://www.lissaexplains.com/intro.shtml
*** I first mentioned this site 3 years ago and it is still an excelent=
 site.

"My name is Lissa.
I started this site when I was eleven years old because there were
no other Web sites available for kids to learn how to make their own
site." If you thought HTML was only for nerds, Lissa is here to tell you
otherwise. Full of bright colors and jump-in-your-face graphics,
visiting Lissa Explains is like walking into a girl's bedroom.
Take time to wander around, and you'll be rewarded with explanations
of advanced Web design topics (including frames, CSS, and
Javascript); a forum for asking HTML questions; and several good
resource lists for Webmaster tools such as HTML validators, and
CGI scripts.

Tina's FrontPage Tips, by Tina Clarke

Save changes in Navigation view

When you make changes to your web's navigation structure in
Navigation view - for example, adding or deleting a page
from the structure, or creating a new page - those changes
are saved automatically when you switch to another view,
such as Page view. However, you can save changes at any time
to prevent losing work.
To save changes without switching views, right-click on the
view background, and then click Apply Changes on the
shortcut menu.

Killer fonts: They're typefaces inspired by famous killers...

http://www.killerfonts.com/main.html

Everyone has those days where words won't begin to describe how
you feel. Why not help your words do exactly what they want? What
better way to let your boss know your true feelings than by
resigning with the help of Lizzie Borden ? How else would you
confess ardent feelings of corporate takeover than through the
script of Jesse James? And everyone will know you mean business
when Jack the Ripper writes your cover letters.

KillerFonts offers you all that and more. Not only can you enlist
the most notorious psychopaths to your aid, but also the weighty
words of Important People. Who could ignore a speech written by
Abraham Lincoln, a poem by Edgar Allan Poe, or orders by Genghis
Khan? and many others!

Speed Up Shutdown Time

Windows 95/98 has almost turned shutting off your computer into a
12-step program. You have to click on the Start button, click on
Shut Down, select Shut down again and click on OK. And the
computer is still on.

You have to wait until it tells you it's okay before you actually
push the various buttons on your PC, monitor and printer to turn
them off. But you can set things up so at least the first part
of the operation is reduced to click-click:

Right-click on your Windows 95 or 98 desktop and, in the menu
that pops up, choose New and Shortcut. In the dialogue box that
appears, type the command line

C:windows rundll.exe user.exe,exitWindows

with a space before "user" only. (This assumes your Windows 95 or
98 directory is called Windows. If not, substitute the real
directory name for windows in the command line.) Click on Next
and name the new shortcut something clever, such as "Shut Down."
Click on Finish.

Now a "Shut Down" icon appears on your desktop. Double-click on
it and you're out. That fast.

Note: Some users report that this trick works for them better if
they use rundll32.exe in the command line instead of rundll.exe.

Antivirus software is a good choice to scan your system for possible
viruses, however no virus scanner is 100% effective as manufactures
cannot keep up with the rapid change of viruses that happens daily.
Be sure to update yours regularly.
