Kaspersky labs has additional servers for autoupdating.  The program
defaults to use one server but can be altered to check a variety of 
servers. Select Kaspersky updater, select update via the internet to 
open the drop down box(es) select "location"  Check the box labeled 
"Use alternate locations from the list"  select next and next to update.  
This option should stay selected after the first time.  This helps 
Kaspersky lighten the load for updates and helps you obtain updates 
easier.

Recalculate hyperlinks

After editing your web, and before publishing ALWAYS go to
Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks, when asked to refresh say yes!.  Why?
Your FrontPage TOC (Table of Contents) and Search Bots need this to
happen in order to note new links and delete references to deleted files. 
It also helps with publishing your site as FrontPage does not have any
conflicts to resolve and so takes less time to publish.
Once a week open up the web live on the server and recalculate
hyperlinks there as well.

Alternative use of the start button

1. Hold down the Shift key.

2. Click the Start button.

3. Click on as many programs as you like.

Windows will launch each program you click on but retain the focus on
your Start menu, offering you the ability to launch additional programs.
As soon as you let go of the Shift key, the Start button/menu will=
 minimize.
You may not see your launched programs on the screen, but they should
appear on your task bar. 
Windows 95 up to Windows XP.

Dealing With GoHip.Com

If you have ended up with GoHip.com on your computer somehow, 
you know that it's harder to get rid of than a bad reputation. 
We tried to help someone exorcize GoHip from a computer. 
We eliminated all references to it in the web browser, and then we
ran RegEdit and deleted all references that we could find in the
Registry. 
We restarted the computer and GoHip came back.

There is a way to get rid of GoHip, and GoHip itself provides the means.

Visual Basic Runtimes

Most of my Power Tools are written in a computer programming 
language known as Visual Basic (or just "VB"). This language is 
easy to learn, and allows you to create Windows programs quickly. 
Over the years it's become one of the most popular programming 
languages in the world.

Before you can install or run a program written in Visual Basic, you 
must first install the "Visual Basic Runtime". A runtime need only 
be installed once. 
Its files are then shared by every VB program you install.

Currently, there are four versions of the VB runtime, one for each 
release of the VB programming language. The version of the 
runtime you should install depends on the version of the VB language 
used to write the VB program you want to run. 
For example, to run a program written in VB v6.0, you must install 
the Visual Basic Runtime v6.0. If you are unsure which runtime 
version you need, you may download and install all four. 
That way you'll be ready for any VB program you might try in the future!
