open the drop down box(es) select "location" Check the box labeled
"Use alternate locations from the list" select next and next to update.

Scribble Pad
Freeware
http://www.easysoftwareuk.com/scrib.htm

Scribble pad is the ultimate utility for accessing often used
text. Any of 1900+ items of text can be recalled to the Scribble
Pad editor with only two mouse clicks - one on the group and one
on the item. You never need to open a file. Items can be pasted
into one another simply by dragging and any item can be sent
directly to the Windows clipboard with a single mouse click.

Scribble Pad is therefore equally ideal as a personal information
management system, a document assembler, a text clippings library
or a programmers sub and function library.

The local area network version allows any number of workstations
to share a further 1900+ items on the server. The server items
are automatically updated at each workstation so, in addition to
its primary purpose, Scribble Pad is also a simple but effective
inter-workstation messaging system.

DotMouse v1.2
http://home.wxs.nl/~mpennock/
200Kb (Win9x/2k/XP) Freeware

This small tool is basically meant to make your rather mundane
pointer look more fancy and attractive....with this tool you can
convert your pointer into many different things like a plane, a fly etc.
"DotMouse also allows you to launch the rotating Mouse Cursor
without showing the main screen.
It now includes a Cursor Selector to rotate either the normal
Windows mouse cursor, the hourglass Cursor, or both."

Ok, there is a downside to this...at first the constant switching of
cursors is fun but slowly it begins to get on your nerves...but hey
let this not deter you from downloading it.
Some of you might just get hooked on to it :)

I bet your kids will !!

OLDVERSION.COM
http://www.oldversion.com
191 VERSIONS OF 24 PROGRAMS AND GROWING!
Sometimes upgrading to a newer version can be a good thing.
Other times, the story is different. Maybe your computer is not
compatible with the new version or maybe you feel like the new
version is bloated and all the good options were replaced.
Regardless of your situation, sometimes you just want to go back
to the old version, but you no longer have the installation file and
you can no longer download it anywhere. For those times, there is
OldVersion.com, an archive of old versions of various programs.

If you are looking for an old version of GetRight, ICQ, or any other
program, OldVersion.com should be your first stop. If you don't see
the program or a version of a program that you are looking for, tell
us and we'll add it to the archive. Most programs are added only
after they have been requested, so if you would like to see a
program listed here, it is important you tell us.
We read every email we receive.

Search For Information On A DLL By Filename

Microsoft is finally getting around to things that others have
had available for years. If you needed to know what a specific
DLL was used for, you could find it on the web, but never at
Microsoft's own web site. Well, they have finally gotten around
to putting up a new area of their site that deals with DLLs.
Visit;
<http://support.microsoft.com/servicedesks/fileversion/dllinfo.asp>
and search for information on a DLL by filename.
You can also choose specific programs and see what DLLs that
program uses.
I don't know how complete the list is, but this may
be helpful in troubleshooting program errors, maybe even in backing
up and restoring certain programs.

viruses, Trojans and worms. The initiative is part of Sophos's
long term commitment to help schools deal with the virus

Antivirus software is a good choice to scan your system for possible
viruses, however no virus scanner is 100% effective as manufactures
cannot keep up with the rapid change of viruses that happens daily.
Be sure to update yours regularly.
