If you're a member you should be able to access the link without too
much
trouble but I know in the past it's been a bit of fun, any issues with
logging in are easily rectified by calling the club office & giving
your
membership number & Ali will help you out.
I don't usually get involved in club politics, as you know in this
region
our primary goal is getting out there in our wonderful cars & enjoying
the
company of like-minded friends, but this thread will make you aware of
something that could have a quite dramatic effect on the way the club
is run
& possibly even its ability to carry on in years to come.
As you might know the clubs AGM is to be held in late March & voting
forms
for committee positions usually go out with Sprint in the same month.
However, the possible consequences of this proposition mean the club
has
felt it important enough to take legal advice & as such the voting
forms may
well go out separately.
I would respectfully ask you to take a few minutes out of your day to
read
the thread if you can. You will find a few (25) members have made a
request
which will be voted on at the AGM & the club is obliged to give them
their
day. I'm not going to say too much but the representatives of those 25
(many
of whom we know very well) have not shown themselves in a very good
like but
despite this the committee (including our chairman) have answered their
questions politely & professionally.
The postal vote makes up a large percentage of those cast at the AGM &
I
think this year it's more important than ever people use that vote in
whichever way you feel fit. Do you want to put your trust in people who
have
continued to show disdain for just about anyone who plays a part in the
management of the club, or would you prefer to be part of a club that
continues to win awards for its magazine, events, displays etc?
I will bring some copies of the postal voting forms to our next Sunday
meet
if I can & will be happy to collate them (however you vote) & send them
to
the club office if it would help, please also keep in mind the AGM is
open
to all club members if any of you wish to join us.
I'm quite sure both Paul & I would be happy to answer questions on here
if
required but I would ask you to read the thread if you can.
If any of you are that way inclined I have absolutely NO problem with
you
forwarding this post to whoever you want, I have no issues discussing
this
matter either on here or privately with any TVRCC member.
