Dear Dr Uma Kireet So far MMR is included in the Delhi schedule since last 8 yrs.In Delhi as IAP CANCL GRP /IAP Delhi in 1999 we organized a massive health Mela for Street Children(1100 childr)and invited Dr Harshvardhan (then health minister of Delhi) and proposed we need MMR in govt schedule ,his response was why dint you proposed it before this .He promised there and then only to bring it in Delhi schedule. Not only this with in a week his office called up IAP Delhi to come to his office to discussed ,by the time we as IAP Delhi reached his office he already had done the homework with his Principal Secretary and declared they have decided to include it in Delhi schedule. I know the minute detailes of it as I organised all theseinitial meetings as Secretary IAP CANCL GRP and IAP executive member along with others. Its not understood as yet why none of the IAP Presidents took up this matter seriously to bring it in national schedule when Measles vac is allready there since long. Its just the matter of taking up the matter seriously and will be done .Hope Dr Panna Choudhury and Dr Deepak Ugra think about it seriously.
