Hi all, maybe some of you might know this, but for those who don't,
there are two instances in the new version of audio highjack pro, in
which, using vo space bar can have undesirable results, and these are,
when highjacking, after interacting with the tool bar, if you press vo
space bar to activate the check box, you get a customable highjacking
dialog, which you have to okay out of, and causes everything to freeze
for a couple of seconds, so when highjacking, just press the space bar,
even though you won't know if the box is checked or not, unless you vo
right arrow to the mute check box, then vo left arrow to the highjack
check box. The second instance, in which vo space bar has undesirable
responses, is in the silence monitor, in the recording tab, which
unfortunately, in the new audio highjack pro, reads as a check box, as
do all five tabs, and I've written rogueamoeba about this, and they
said they'd have their engineers look in to this. The silence monitor
is a pop up button, in the record tab, and controls the amount of
silence when audio stops in a file. If you press vo space bar on the
remove digital check box to check it, there's no way to get out of the
pop up button, unless you command tab away, and back to the audio
highjack window, and even pretending to stop interacting with the pop
up button doesn't do any good, so in that instance, just press the
space bar on the check box, and then, you can navigate the rest of the
record tab. You guys may know all this stuff already, but since I'm
new to audio highjack pro, I had never seen the new interface, and at
first, until somebody helped me, I was baffled that the tabs were
reading as check boxes, so hope this information helps a newbie to
audio highjack pro.
