[macvoiceover] Re: vo and dvd rippers

Yes indeed it is, in many ways it leaves Itunes for absolute dead, the quality of audio and video out of VLC are a case in point, if you have a network like mine where Windows PC'S and Mac exist together then VLC is is a "Must Have" for all your music collection if you've been using things such as Winamp to play it with on your PC, just select a playlist on your network with VLC and away you go, completely compatible.

It's a very nice media player which you can also use to stream video and/or audio through the internet, or to do many many other things. www.videolan.org I think...

Use Handbrake. It's free and it works great. You need to have VLC installed for the newer versions of Handbrake to work. It's really accessible and you can rip to many formats, including iPod compatible ones.
Good luck!

I've not had time to register and try this yet but I'm told that DVD Remaster is worth a look, I know that people have been working with the author to improve accessibility and they've done a good job according to reports.
