[macvoiceover] text editor for coding, and a good anti malware app?

Hi, I'm asking on behalf of a friend. anyone knows of a text-editor that
would be useful for coding? An example of such for Windows would be Textpad or
Notepad Plus.
Also, any recommendations for an anti-malware app?
