RICARDO WROTE; Fom the finder, press command shift U to go to the utilities 
folder.  open the folder and inside you will find activity monitor.  Open this. 
 Arrow through the table until you find the process you want to stop, then 
interact with the toolbar.  In the toolbar, VO space on the quit 

THAT IS REALLY INTERESTING, HOW DOES ONE KNOW WHAT SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT BE IN 
THE ACTIVITIES MANAGER ?
