[macvoiceover] Re: speed dials on aiphone

Way finder is a GPS solution that is owned by Nokia and installed in all
their phones.  The maps are downloaded according to your GPS coordinates
thereby you always have an up to date map for your location.  It's data
intensive so you need to have a good data plan with your provider because
your maps will update without your knowledge.  It's probably the second best
GPS solution next to google maps which google has in their new android phone
by the way.  Hopefully someone comes up with a screen reader for the
android.

I think Way finder or an equivalent will soon be on the Iphone. just a
feeling.

Good morning,

 

You can use voice control to dial any number in your contact list, this is
clearly not a universal solution to speed dialing.

 

1. Press and hold the home button to activate voice control

 

2. Speak "call" and then the name and home / work (if you have more than one
number for the contact.  For example "Call Joe Smith" or "Call Joe Smith
Work".
