[macvoiceover] snow leopard sluggish left-right arrow

Hi,
I have just upgraded to snow leopard and found a curious issue. The
only thing is that the left and right, not up and down arrow keys are
very sluggish. This happens when moving the insertion point and when
navigating across the top of the menu bar, but the up and down, and
also vo-left right work just fine.
Any ideas? Do you think the only way is to do a clean installation?
