[macvoiceover] shoutcast and vlc

Hi all.
does anyone know in vlc when you choose file then discovery services then hit enter on shoutcast radio listings what is this option meant to do? 
Is it even accessible?
After hitting enter on shoutcast radio listings, your returned to the vlc main window and that's all I can seem to find regarding this option.
If anyone can shed some light on the above, that would be greatly appreciated.
