So speaking of itunes.I found a bunch of scripts today which should help
further organize things-one in particular that creates a playlist of all
your duplicates so that you can erase them or back them up. However, I
don't think I ever deposited it correctly. How does one deposit script
files? Or should I ask where? <grin> It could also be that the script is
inaccessible and I just couldn't find it with VO on the screen. Any
thoughts?

Thanks much.

Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Listening to streaming audio on a mac

Hi Scott, I personally use ITunes for pretty much everything I need. I
just listened to the LightHouse presentation on affordable tech, with it.
It was held in San Francisco today and was streamed live over the web, so as
I'm in LA, I caught it that way.

In Itunes, there is an option in the Advanced menu which will bring up a
dialogue where you can type in a direct url to open a stream.

As for podcasts, -iTunes again; I have *very* many casts that I'm subbed
to, and, as I have limited time most days, I have far too many to keep up
with all at once. ITunes allows me to really quickly and easily search and
isolate only the casts I'd like to go through to see if there's anything I'd
like to listen to for a few minutes or pick up where I left off on one. I
would *definitely not* want to try to arrange that much material myself!
lol! So, for me, ITunes is a great solution.

Hope this helps and have an awesome weekend!.

Smiles,

Cara :)

HI all.

Just wondering, what do most of you use to listen to streaming audio on a
mac?

I know you can use Itunes to listen to radio but I don't think you can have
an m3u playlist in Itunes can you?

If not, would you use something like vlc or something similar?

Also what do you all use to listen to podcasts on the mac?

Is it Itunes or do you all use something else?

Thanks.
