[macvoiceover] recording with the mac

Hi all,
I don't know if it's possible to record things with the macbook that are
happening around me with the internal microphone of my macbook?
I have seen the podcast program but this program is not disigned for this?
I started the program and there was a setup where they asked to connect to any
server.
I haven't internet-access during me lessons.
And, if this is possible with default app's of the mac, can I record it in mp3?
