I have not found anything that is difficult to get used to. It is
just a matter of learning a new operating system. I do not have a
Braille display I am only using speech. I think the Macbook is
especially well designed. It is a truly nice sturdy laptop.

Cool. I want a MacBook one of these days when my windows laptop dies.
Is there anything in particular that is hard to get used to or just
generally new operating system, way of reading the screen etc.?
Do you have a braille display or just speech?

I got a macbook. I like the portability and am amazed at how thin
my mac book is. I got the aluminum one so thought it would be
heavy but it's amazingly
Lightweight. I like my Mac more every day. It's a challenge to
change over from windows but I am learning every day and the more I
learn, the more I like.
Thanks for the help offer. It is nice to have people around to
help when learning a whole new way of doing things.

Welcome to the list!
I am relatively new to the Mac and don't know much yet but I'd be
glad to help in any way I can. smile
What kind of Mac is it? iMac? MacBook? I have an iMac. Only reason
I ask is curiosity.

Subject: [macvoiceover] new member and new to mac
Hi:
My name is Peggy and I have recently purchased a Mac and am
learning to use voiceover. I joined the list last night so
wanted to introduce myself. I have already gotten some good
information from the archives and the home page. I look forward
to learning all about my mac and voiceover and to meeting you all.
