[macvoiceover] Re: (macvoiceover) Using Voiceover with history view

Hi Laura,

This is the kind of thing that happens when some one can't get something to work for them like this address book thing, then others have doubts. The address book will be improved, but, it is fine now. I and others use it every day and it is great to have all of my contacts moved to my iPhone every time I change something and then sync the phone.

I have no way of knowing for sure, but, I do think you notice improvements in Safari in SnowLeopard.

Thank you for your kindness and level approach to the folks on the list.

We are here to help you.

Do you know if there are any plans to change that in Snow Leopard? it's not that big a deal, but combined with the lack of MS Office (not Apple's fault, I grant you), and the recent debate over the address book, it makes me a little unsure.

Sorry. I wasn't clear enough. Or at all, really.

In top sites there's a search button, and according to the apple site, it allows for a full history search. I can get it to read the first result, but nothing more, even when I know there should be. There's a horrizontal scroll bar beside that result, but using VO with that doesn't seem to get me anywhere. The Apple site does say that it presents the results in cover flow, and I'm not sure if that could be the problem?

I go to the menu bar, go to the history and arrow through it till I get to what I want. I don't see a search history.

Hi all

I've been lurking around here for a while, trying to learn as much as I can before buying a Mac of my own. Thanks for all the helpful hints you guys provide.

I was wondering how Voiceover works with the history in Safari? I've been playing around with a Mac for a few days now, and I struggled to get VO to read the search results in history. I'm sure this is just the result of my hopeless inexperience, but I'd rather check this kind of functionality is available before I switch to a Mac and give up Firefox.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Laura
