I think the reason that VoiceOver is perceived by some as less
powerful is because it is integrated into the OS. Because of
this VoiceOver does not need to provide all kinds of services
which Windows screen readers do. For example VoiceOver has no
scripting language such as Jaws Script, it doesn't need one
because the MacOS already has one called AppleScript in place.
