[macvoiceover] learning the mac and vo: was: Re: Re: searching for text on a web page

I have to agree with Marie here that we need to put our energies into the new things we are learning. I do think if we are well grounded in computer basics though, no matter what os we start with if it has a gui and we have gui experience, we can use that as a springboard.

The trick is to combine our knowledge with our new knowledge as we go. Explore the new environment, figure out or learn how the two can complement each other. O've got command line, portable device and gui experience so for me learning the mac 5 years or so ago wasn't as hard a climb if for instance I'd never had gui experience. By all means, don't rely on your old screen reading experience to learn vo but certainly, if you have it, rely on your dare I say it, windows experience. Many concepts are similar and even compatible.

Donna, maybe the item chooser would be a better approach. vo--I. I find it much more useful than the find command on web pages.

Brandon,

I'm so sorry you find my posts so annoying. I thought this list was here to help users, clearly I was mistaken.

Just FYI, Command-F brings up a find window ON THE MAC. There's nothing windows about that.

Hi all,

Recently, when searching for text on a webpage using command-F, I saw a button that said 2 results found, but I seemed to have no way to actually see the results. How do you view results when searching on a webpage?
Thanks,
Donna
