OK, I got the DVD out and VO working.  I began to re-install again.  Am I
supposed to choose Install Mac OSX from the DVD menu?  Please let me know if
that's the incorrect option.  That could be my problem.

What kind of machine are you using?  Did you watched the entire
installation procedure and get a Restart button at the end of the
process?  Did any music play after the Restart?Marshall
