Try Visual Hub. If you can rip your DVDs to disc and create a Disc image I think it will work.

Hi
Just got done converting the video, and unfortunately iSquint doesn't do what I want. It doesn't keep the chapter marks, and also doesn't keep the media tags. So I'll have to keep looking I guess.

So How did it work?!

Felix wants me to put it out there, that he wants to do something sort of opposite of what you're doing. He wants to take a audio book with all the chapters in it and lose the chapters so it's one long cd with no chapter marks.

Without having to use his CD recorder and doing it manually. He's got a way to convert it already down to the size he wants, he ends up with 99 chapters & subchapters. All these markers. They've got to go.

Anyone know of such software.

Thanks.

Hi
According to techspansion, which is who made it, it seems like he just
didn't feel like maintaining it anymore. I did find a download link
for the latest version though and I'm giving it a try since it is
freeware, I didn't know that either since no mention of that fact is
made on techspansion's site. I'm converting one of my tv episodes now,
we'll see how it does.

Thanks for that info. So I wonder if those download links then are
for archived copies? Interesting. Do you know why it was
discontinued? Bugs maybe.

Hi
iSquint has been discontinued along with visualhub, they're made by
the same person.

Maybe this one? http://mac.majorgeeks.com/download5129.html

It's called "ISquint" and it's a video converter for Ipods. Not sure
if it does what you need though. Closest I could find in th
Majorgeek Mac downloads.

Hi everyone
I'm looking for a video converter for my iPod. I have lots of DVDs
that I own that I've encoded to MP4, but I encoded them so they
could
be watched on normal screens. As a result, my iPod Classic won't
play
them. I'm looking for a converter that does this conversion and
also
preserves my chapter marks. This second point is the key, as I know
of
several video converters--quicktime pro, iTunes itself, Viddyup,
and
visualhub (discontinued). None of these, however, seem to be able
to
preserve chapter marks and I really don't feel like extracting them manually then using QT pro to put them back. I'd really prefer to
do
the conversions in a batch, which QT pro doesn't allow even
though I
can manually re-add the chapter marks later. Anyone know of a video
converter that will do both of these? Or alternatively, will the
new
Nano play my standard-sized videos since the unit can be turned on
its
side for widescreen view? No, I can't see the screen, but at the
moment iTunes won't even copy the movies to the iPod. For those
interested, they are AAc audio with an AC3 track in the case of
surround movies, h.264 video, and the dimensions are usually
640x480,
sometimes higher. Wil the new nano be able to simply take these
files
as is? Because if it can I'll just do that, it'd save me a lot of
time
in the long run and besides I've been wanting one for a while.

Thanks
