yes, but if you want the url of a link on the page, you would ordenarily 
have to control-click on it and choose copy.

When I want the url I'm on, all I do is command-l, command-c, then I
can paste it anywhere I need it.
Two keystrokes, and no fuss, no muss.

Of course, it only works if you want to send someone to the page
you're actally viewing, it won't work for links on those pages.
