Honestly, insisting that someone do things a certain way that they already said they weren't interested in at this time is a good way to put them off. Some people don't need or want a large media player with a library and such, they just want to play files and streams. That's it. And they have every right to not use iTunes if they don't want to, though I usually don't see people giving up iTunes once they've really started using it.
