yes. you should be able to tab to it. if not, it is in the toolbar.

to the edit field, type an identifying string, stop interacting with
the toolbar, find the checkboxes with vo arrows, check the one you
want to search on. they should actually be radio buttons because
you can only check one of them which unchecks the rest. press enter
on the edit field and find and read the messages list.
