0SX will do the same thing, without the need to extract the whole video. It'll just take the audio and convert it to .aiff for you and you can then convert it.

Awhile back there was a question about extracting audio only from DVDs. I figured out how to do this it is a multi-step process using HandBreak to extract the movie to an mp4 file. Then QuickTime player to export just the audio to a aiff file and then SOX or a similar utility to convert the aiff file to mp3.
The whole process take a long time but it can be done. Contact me if you need more information.
