The mac version of emacs may have calc already built in. In any case,
calc uses the same interface as does emacs since it is either built by
emacs or is part of emacs. In the beginning of the info page for calc,
examples deal with simple calculations but one section in that info
document deals with use of matrices in calc. What I have to find out is
if the use of matrices was limited to specific matrix operations or left
flexible for the user to define. If flexible, very likely calc will be
the first accessible spreadsheet the mac has available. I have to do
research later this week to get answers one way or the other.
