stopping is the same thing as pausing. Safari knows that the file at the
point where you stop it before completing is not complete so when you resume
it will continue downloading the file at the point of stopping it.

Yeah that much I know but  the prior poster said you can pause a download. I
cannot find a way to do this even after interacting witht he item I'm
looking at. I've also done 3 downloads ont he bard site but I'm talking when
a friend gives me a link I'm going to grab.
