Donna,I think you and David are going to in the end, agree to disagree. The fact is, the MAC is created in such a way that you can do it the way you want. I am sure that some would not agree with the way I compute, but, I really don't care, I love my MAC and one of the reasons I love my MAC is because I can have it the way I want it. I also like Lettiss on my cheese berger, grin smile.
I guess there is a lot to be said about helping folks to learn good work habbits, but, work habbits are very much a personal thing.

Sorry, David, I know I'm a newbie, but I absolutely do not understand your position here. I still think that having a few things on your desktop savesa step or two, at least unless you leave your apps folder open as was suggested last night. I think I'm with Cheryl on this one. *smile* Best, Donna-----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover- bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Poehlman Sent: Tuesday, July 21, 2009 8:57 AM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: dock and desktop the end result is not the same, the key is organization, everything has a place and if you become familiar with everything is and avoid doing unnecessary things, you and your mac get along a lot better. Maybe it's just hold-over Windows behavior, but it just makes sense to me to have the things you use all the time on your desktop, be they apps, current projects, or whatever. But for those who want to access their Applications window more often, yes, you can leave that open when you reboot and that will work very nicely for you.Click on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.com Manage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below. //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.com Manage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below. //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.com Manage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below. //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxwith 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Webinterface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.com Manage your subscription by using the web interface on the linkbelow.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxwith 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Webinterface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.com Manage your subscription by using the web interface on the linkbelow.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverNo virus found in this incoming message.
