Oh, the track pad for desktops are now accessible with VO? I knew at
one
time that VO would not work with the track pad for desktops. Or at
least
that was what I was told.

I changed the subject line to reflect what we are now into.
I purchased a mac mini earlier this year. I did that because of
price
and things like that. Now that I have one I wonder if I should have
gone a slightly different direction. The mini does meet my needs
since you definitely need a monitor connected to it for efficient use
either an Imac or a Macbook probably would have done even better.
Price wise the newest Macbook Air, entry price $999 even though it
has
less storage and memory than some of the others may well be a good
choice. That would also give you the advantage of a built-in
trackpad
which may well be a good thing.
