I don't want to learn scripting. I just want an easier way to insert breaks because VO is sluggish in menus.

well, you are in luck. in the commanders, there is a custom keystroke item. an apple script or automator work flow could be written and attached there.

The problem is that you have to go all the way to insert and enter on insert page break. It would be so much easier if they would make a hotkey to do that like command enter or something. Keith is correct, attributes do not work in pages but breaks do and it reads which page you are on when you move.
This doesn't show up in braille though.
Apple has a ways to go especially with braille but they're improving things with each new kitten so that's good. I just hope we don't have to wait for 10.7 for more accessibility features. Oh, I don't know how to actually jump to a specific page or to the next and previous one.

Good evening Mary Anne,

No one els has given this a try, so, I will give it a shot.

I see in the edit menu an incert menu which will allow to incert page brakes. So I opened a doc in text edit and did so and could not find a page brake, or, number, however, some one on the list said that it was working.

Pages,

Pages breakes and number show up quite nicely in pages, however, atributes do not seem to be working in pages at this time, however, I am told that it is on the way.

Hi everybody. I was very happy to see that attributes are working much better with SL.

I have a few questions.

First, I understand that it is now possible to tell what page you are on using SL. How do you determine that?

I of course have Text Edit and Nisus Writer. But I'm also interested in Pages too.

My next question is the ability to find a page break in a document. Can that be done and how? I imagine it could be done with find but is there a way of physically finding a page break while reading the doucment?

Thank you all very much.
