No delete key shouldn't be that discouraging once you get used to the
combination. If it really bothers you, see if you can get hold of one of the
former Apple full usb or bluetooth keyboards; they have a perfectly normal
forward delete key in the six-pack above the cursor cross. Of course if you
are using a laptop you may prefer not to use an external keyboard.
