and that is the keyboard cursor.

I would imagine the program cursor would be, for example, the cursor that you use in Textedit to read through the document. Some windows have a cursor, and some don't. For example if you open an email message that someone sent you (assuming you are using the Mail program) there is no cursor on that window so you read the message with the VO cursor. But in a text editor, the app itself does have a cursor for you to insert text etc. I think that's what the application cursor is, but I tried going to Textedit, putting the cursor on a word and pressing ctrl+command+d and no definition appeared. This function that Keith is talking about sounds like something Apple would do, though...

Marcy, Those are the very questions I am asking.

Marcy, what I am saying here is, I have hit a brick wall I don't know the answers to those questions. I was hoping that some one would help me to find the answers.

Okay, then, here's my next question... You said your're having trouble routing the program cursor to the word. What do you do to route the cursor? What keys to you use? Maybe others could be of help here too? Thanks! We'll get this figured out! <smile> Marcy

Hi, Keith! I'd like to try this, but how do I route the program cursor to the word? Thanks! Marcy

Hi folks,

I have found something which is a really cool thing, but, I can't get it to work all of the time.

***, Warning, this will make you crazy.

Did you know if you land on a word and you don't know the meaning of it, if you make sure that the program curser is on the word, [I have had trouble routing the program curser to the word], and press, command-control-d a simple definition of the word will appear in another window. Press, VO keys-F2 twice for the window chooser.

The problem is, I can't get it to work all of the time.

If you have nothing better to do, give this a look. It would be a big help if we can get this working.
