[macvoiceover] Re: VoiceOver braille manuals

Just as a note: you don't have to interact with text fields. I can get this info from my tiger machine just fine without interacting with the edit box.

Ok, by following Greg's instructions below I was able to order the
voiceover manual for Leopard in braille. At first the person couldn't find
it and had to check with another department from which she got the part
number; I warned her others might be calling. It is apple Care tech
support
you want and they will ask for your serial number so have it ready or be
in
front of your computer so you can access it. You can access your serial
number by going into the Apple menu and about this mac; then more info
which takes you into the system profiler. The serial number will be in
the window with other information without having to interact or anything.
to read the serial number, interact with the text and then vokeys-arrow
down to the serial number row; vokeys right arrow to "number" and then use
vokeys-shift-right-arrow to read the serial number character by character
if necessary. Be patient if they put you on hold; they will eventually
find it. I probably should have asked for the part number and posted it;
sorry I didn't think of it at the time.

Hth.
