Hi there,
Personally, I would suggest going through Apple to do this.  The one draw back 
to using a mac is that you just can't pop the thing open and plop a dim in to 
it.  there are some sites on the net that will give you the necessary steps to 
do this,but really, it's better to be safe than sorry.
