Just before seeing your note, I remembered the VO+F2 commands and there was my solution.
Thanks for the help, I appreciate the help a lot. cdh On Dec 28, 2008, at 5:53 PM, David Poehlman wrote:
try vo keys-f1 twice. also try vo keys-f2 quickly. and did you try command-w to close the window? You may have to tryrebuilding the mailbox and also, try changing the message to plain text.----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hofstader" <cdh@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, December 28, 2008 5:44 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Stuck in Mail... I think I had to use it in another application a week or two ago but can't remember which one it was when I went to help and read thecommand list. cdh Happy Hacking, cdh Chris Hofstader email: cdh@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Blog: http://www.blindconfidential.blogspot.com Skype: BlindChristian -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Poehlman Sent: Sunday, December 28, 2008 3:15 PM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Stuck in Mail...bry command-b and then answer ok. that will bounce the message back to thesender and put it in the trash. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hofstader" <cdh@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, December 28, 2008 3:07 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Stuck in Mail... Hi,Today I was happily reading my email until a strange situation involving what seems to be a single email start to happen. I opened the message, readits contents and tried to delete it. Deleting didn't work with thekeystroke, going to the toolbar and choosing delete or hitting the close button. When I tried to shut down, I got an error that said I had to forcequit mail first so I did and it restarted.I restarted Mail after it rebooted and was faced with the same email and the same "no way out" state. I tried a few more times to shut down and do a few other things but, alas, all has done nothing but leave me with Mail broken.Any ideas? I had to use my Windows laptop to do this email.
