Well I had just a few minutes this afternoon to take a look at this, but, I am most impressed.

I opened the Voiceover getting started for SnowLeopard guide as a word file, just one of the many choices and turned on attributes.

Voiceover told me how it was aligned,
font type,
page number and number of pages and it looks like you can move from page to page with, VO keys-right and left arrow and have the new page announced.
It spoke, bold,
italics  and more.
