HI Jan.
When skype rings, do a vo i to bring up the item chooser. Then arrow down to answer and do a vo space to answer the call. Sometimes I had to do vo space twice quickly for some reason but it works for me.

Hello,

I am using a Mac Book with OS Leopard 10.5.
I installed Skype.  How do I answer a call when someone calls me?
I tried Vo space bar and the enter, and nothing happens.  I don't want to
check auto answer call, so hope there is another solution.

Any help is much appreciated.
