Hi David,I am considering a mac when I get a laptop sometime later this year. I've never used one yet, but you touched on some of my concerns too. I've always used Jaws and some of the things that Voice Over requires, like having to "interact" with everything in order to be able to read it, and requiring multiple key strokes to do certain things that I'm used to as only needing one command.. well I'll be curious to see if those things end up being an annoyance to me. I will go to a mac store or spend some time trying out a friends' mac before I actually get one, to see if I think its something I can get used to. My husband just got Vista, and from the sounds of it, it seems like Vista has some functionalities similar to a mac OS though with some of those things. It too is quite different than what we're used to with Win XP. Regardless of what I end up getting, I will still need to use Windows too though because connecting to my office network remotely requires Windows.

Hi Dave,Thanks for those links. That's what I'm looking for as well. This is only my own opinion and on limited use of the Mac OS with Voice-over but I reallyneed windows smile. I'm not impressed with the way Voiceover does things. As I said to a mate, at the moment, voiceover is like Narrator on severe drugs. However, I do like the concept of a screen reader built into anoperating system which is one major reason why I wanted to give the mac andVoiceover a go. I also like the design of the Mac Mini so I don't want to throw away the hardware. I guess I just want Windows on a mac mini hence why I'm asking about Windows on a Mac. When Voiceover matures a bit morethen I might give it some serious consideration as a major screen reader inour household but at the moment, pressing 3 keys together to do basic screen reading commands isn't my cup of tea smile. Neither is having to shall we say bring focus to most basic areas of the screen (interact mode)and then releasing it is something I am not use to with Jaws or Wineyes andis something I shouldn't have to get use to with decent screen readeraccess. That's just a few things. Again that is only my opinion and is nomeans a criticism of anyone else. HI Guys, I really want to learn how to install windows xp pro sp2 onto my Mac Mini which has Leopard already installed on it. My mac mini is an Intel based model. If you can give me some serious answers or any proper links toinformation where one can read up on how to achieve this, that would be muchappreciated. However, if you intend to reply with sarcastic and unhelpful messages like read the manual etc, don't bother replying as I won't be bothered wasting my time reading them. Thanks in advance to those of you who are truly interested in helping. When I buy another Mac I'll get on board because all I do is test software, so I would have allot to contribute. Great find! I have created a blind mac users team called "Mac Voiceover." Teams are a way for a group to get together, us, as Mac users, for example, and we have a feed on people started using, and at the top of the page we have the most used/hot applications. Best of all there are widgets now that you can post on your blog or what have you so everyone can see what you are doing at the present moment on the Mac. After signing up, you will be required to download a small application which tracks what you are doing. If, for example, you are in a beta program, don't forget to shut this down before opening it, as you will share it with the world (I don't know if there is any way to control what you share). Otherwise, after you enter your username and password, simply start doing daily things and you'll see a programs list start to build up in your profile. After you sign up and get the tracker set up, be sure to join the Mac Voiceover team by going to http://www.wakoopa.com/teams/macvoiceover and join it so we get more software than mine. Thanks, and hope to see some new members and comments on the messages part of the page. Orin orin.angi@xxxxxxxxx MSN: joshuatubbs1@xxxxxxx Skype: orin1112 Do you like mudding?
