Hi Bret,I just tried it again on an e-mail message which had an RTF attachment. I pressed command-Y and the attachment started to read. I don't know what kind of attachment you are trying to read, however, command-Y works fine with RTF.

Command Y takes me to the quick look without selecting the button, but when I interact with the text box, VoiceOver still acts as though there is no text. I've tried attachments in .rtf and .doc.On May 22, 2009, at 3:35 PM, Keith Reedy wrote:use command-Y. When I use quick look, I interact with the area that says text, but VoiceOver doesn't read anything. If I open the attachment with an application, it can be read. The quick look just seems like an easy way to go, like viewing an attachment in gmail online using the view as html option. Thanks, BrettClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxwith 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Webinterface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxwith 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Webinterface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxwith 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Webinterface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover
