Hi everybody. And here I am again with my question for the day.
I'm playing some chess and want to hear the move hint. But it speaks at the
same time as the menu speaks so I miss the move hint. Actually, I'm not sure
exactly what speaks at the same time, but i definitely can't hear the hint. Is
there a way to turn off the main voice to hear the move hint?
Also, if anyone knows how to read choices in Open Office spellcheck I'd love to
know about it. I like Nisus writer but there is a lot about hearing page setup
choices and it seems really difficult to figure it out. I guess in the near
future someone will make a hefty word processor that is completely accessible.
We really need one.
If any of you are using the Apple in a work environment, would you pass along
names of programs you are using? I'd really like to make the switch but I'm
still not finding something I can really use as a transcriptionist who uses a
word processor all day and needs to know what's going on with page setup and
spellcheck..
Thanks for any suggestions. Otherwise, I guess patience will work because
hopefully, it's only a matter of time before somebody addresses the access
issues.
Mary Anne
