Subject: [macvoiceover] Playing Around

Listers,

As most of you know I just purchased a Mac Book Pro. I have been playing
around with it for about a total of 2 hours. I would like to first say that
I can see why Voice Over is a good screen reader solution. I can understand
the layout and how to do basic navigation however I have a few questions.

1. How do I close a program,
command-q.
can the finder be closed,
no.
what about things like text edit and i toones?
What about them?

2. Apple says that the Notebook will detect my wireless network on its own.
Is this in fact the case or do I need to do something to make it work.
If you are not using any security, your network will be detected. If it is
secure, you will need to furnish the key.

3. What view is most accessible? i.e. Column view, list view or icon view
this will be your call but largely, it depends on what you want to
accomplish.

4. How do I navigate the finder?
you navigate the finder in different ways depending on what view it is in.
if it is in column or list mode, you can use up and down arrows or voice
over keys with up and down arrows to navigate it. If it is in icon mode,
same but you can also use just tab. List mode, same but no tab.

Note: I have only been in the Mac Universe for a couple of hours, so be
descriptive. Thanks in advance
