[macvoiceover] Re: Num-pad-commander.

Travis, have you tried quicktime pro with Leopard? For some reason voiceover doesn't seem to see the record button when accessing a new audio recording. Do you have any thoughts? Thanks. Tiger saw this fine.

There is a numlock key on your laptop that will turn on a simulated number pad using the right half of the keyboard. It can't be used the same time as your alpha keys, but it does work. And, I'd suspect any usb numpad would work. I can't find my usb numpad I used to use with my thinkpad, or I'd have thoroughly tested this feature already. However, on my mini, I can't say enough good things about the numpad functions. (you can of course plug your apple keyboard into your laptop for testing purposes if you so desire)

Along the same lines as Jane's question, I wondered if one can get a num keypad for Apple machines--would it need to be specifically Apple or would just any usb numpad work--and whether that might be worth recommending to laptop users.
