The following is a response to this question, posted previously by Anne 
Robertson.


To edit a cell in Numbers, you have to interact with the cell then bring the 
mouse cursor to the VO cursor and double click either with the physical mouse 
or VO-Shift-Space bar. You can then edit as normal.

When trying to read the contents of a cell letter by letter, I get the same 
jumping by two letters at a time.
